Job Description Summary
Chippewa Valley Technical College is establishing a pool
of qualified candidates to be considered when an adjunct
and/or substitute instructor is needed to teach welding
courses. Needs may become available either prior to or
during each semester.
Adjunct instructors are required to design and implement
effective learning strategies, deliver high quality
instruction, assess student learning, and advise
students.
Responsibilities
* Develop a relevant and progressive curriculum.
* Design and implement effective learning strategies and
environments.
* Deliver instruction of high quality.
* Demonstrate commitment to customer service standards.
* Relate successfully with students and staff of diverse
cultural, social, or educational backgrounds.
* Assess student learning.
* Advise students.
* Participate in college activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Ability to plan, organize, instruct and facilitate
educational courses of quality.
* Ability to utilize technology which supports learning
and teaching.
* Ability to work with students in both one on one and in
group instruction situations.
Training and Experience
* A Bachelors Degree from an
accredited university or the equivalent with education or
training preparing a person for the occupational area
being taught. Work experience combined with education and
training totaling seven years (14,000 hours) shall be
equivalent to a Bachelors Degree for the purpose of
WTCS Certification. Each academic credit or equivalent
credit shall be equal to 110 hours of occupational
experience.
* Minimum of two years work experience in the

Unique College Requirements
Adjunct instructors may be required to meet with students
outside of normal classroom hours and/or attend
department meetings. Therefore, all interested candidates
must live within driving distance of the CVTC campuses.
Employment with CVTC is contingent upon successful
completion of background check(s).
