Salary $ 3,870 - $ 4,778/mo. Performs skilled oxy-acetylene and electric arc welding, design and fabrication on light, medium and heavy City vehicles and equipment.  Performs skilled equipment maintenance and repair work. Requirements: Graduation from high school or equivalent.  Four years of recent, paid work experience as a journey-level welder, including experience as a fabrication welder working on automotive/truck repairs. Completion of a certified apprenticeship training program in welding from an accredited college or vocational school may be substituted for two years of the required work experience. Possession of a valid Class C driver license. Possession of a valid Class B driver license is highly desirable. Possession of a valid welding certificate from an accredited college, trade school, or government agency.
